Practically the entire City of Paraná is equipped with a mechanised collection system and although most of the collecting process is carried out with 4-wheeled rear-loading containers, the Council wishes to implement collection with a side-loading system in the most central and touristic zones.
The design, with rounded shapes and more simplified lines, together with the fact that that the model features a limited number of pieces and components, were decisive when it came to introducing this new collection system on the city’s collection routes.
The containers have been supplied in grey with a blue lid for the collection of ordinary Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), whereas the lid is green for dry recyclable inorganic waste, which can be recovered for subsequent recycling (packaging, glass, paper, etc.).
This new collection system is totally compatible with the side-loading lorries already being used in the country. Paraná has become the first operation to take place in Argentina with OVAL, latest-generation, state-of-the art, side-loading containers.
